We do not brandish our name about to glorify war only to serve as an education and remembrance for those who fought for us and of course continue to fight for us in current conflicts. We have since removed the lady logo (devised by the original directors) that was similar to the one painted on the side of the plane and have adopted the mind set that it serves as good education for those not to forget.

It was fair to say that in the early days nobody expected the product to take off like it did a brand name change was discussed during 2005, but the market recognised the name so well, it was deemed commercial suicide to do so. The decision to name the new company Enola Gaye would have come from the flamboyance of the original directors whilst it seem slightly controversial the name had a catchy ring to it, which in an already controversial ‘at the time’ paintball industry seemed to fit. Since this new business venture was a product rather than a service a new company was needed to promote the product Hot Shots Paintball was already a successful brand in itself so a new company identity was needed to front this idea. Either way the idea had captured the eyes of the original directors of Hot Shots Paintball in Newbury and the new version was on the drawing board. It is not certain wether the original paint grenade manufactured Astra was actually offered to the paintball industry as a genuine consumable product, it may well have just been a firework/pyrotechnic placed on the market as a gimmick firework. Previously the former Astra Fireworks had offered a similar pyrotechnic made from polystyrene which was painted black, but blasted into thousands of un-biodegradeable white pieces, this was unrealistic for paintball fields looking to keep their woodlands tidy under the watchful eyes of the UK’s tough planning councillors. The brand was founded in 1996 with the idea to manufacture a pyrotechnic paint grenade that looked similar to the real thing and was biodegradable the idea was to make a product from pressed paper pulp, similar to an egg box. The Cripps Barn postcode is GL7 5BA – It’s all you need.Enola Gaye is Europes longest serving pyrotechnic company manufacturing pyrotechnics for the paintball and airsoft industries. With pictures that will remind me for years. A day that will stick with me for a long time. I loved this day, it went from ‘Uh Oh’ to ‘Whoa’ pretty quickly and it was great to be there. Plenty of light fell on Seetal, Minesh and the whole wedding party due to the position of the window above them.Ĭripps is very well kept, huge barbeque, a massive bonfire in the evening and small touches everywhere that when put together show just how much the owners care about the place. It’s a photographers dream inside and out with lots of angles to bounce light from. We even had a little rainbow too, nice ?Ĭripps is truly a great venue. Then, as if someone had thrown a switch, strong sunlight cut like a knife through the clouds and lit Seetal up just as she was boarding the bus. So the weather was sucky until it was time to leave for the venue. The results of which are further down, it’s nice to be creative. I bought some Enola Gay smoke grenades from Airsoft World, (just the small ones) and the lovely Corinne at the Barn allowed me to run loose with them. My plan was for the De’Lorean to arrive in a cloud of smoke. A 1950’s enamel blue vintage bus was taking everyone except Minesh to Cripps Barn whilst our Groom was heading to Cripps in a Back to the Future De’Lorean. But I had plans, plans involving De’Loreans, Vintage Buses and smoke bombs in no particular order.Įveryone got ready at Cats Abbey. Now I’m not complaining, I like snow, really I do. The weather forecast said it was going to be clear later and so off I went thinking it couldn’t get any worse… only to find the temperature dropped a couple of degrees and there was heavy snow for the first few hours.

When I awoke and left for the prep address, (which was Cats Abbey some 5 miles away) it was still throwing it down. It rained all night, and did so pretty hard too. This amazing couple tied the knot at Cripps Barn, Gloucester near the start of the month.īecause of the distance I stopped overnight a few miles down the road at the Lamb Inn. Today I’d like to show you Seetal and Minesh’s wedding from November.
